Ember’s Companion Starter Quest In High Isle

Having Ember as an active Companion grants you Ember’s Intuition: “When pickpocketing, bestows a chance to acquire hidden wallets your mark hoped to keep secure.  Hidden wallets may contain additional gold.”

Ember’s starting quest is found near Tor Draioch in Eastern High Isle.

Ember’s Companion Skills

Ember starts out with basic skills very similar to that of the Sorcerer Class in ESO. Ember comes equipped with a lightning staff. Ember dislikes authority and likes the thieves guild. Ember’s Companion Skills are below.


LIGHTNING CALLER (DPS)

Crystal Blast
Ember conjures dark crystals to bombard an enemy, dealing 8502 Magic Damage.Cast Time:

Shocking Burst
Ember creates a nexus of storm energy at the target location, instantly dealing 4251 Shock Damage to all enemies in the area and an additional 4779 Shock Damage over 8 seconds.Cast Time:
0.6 Sec

Thunderous Strike
Ember calls down an explosion of lightning to finish off an enemy, dealing 25506 Shock Damage and an additional 8502 Shock Damage to other nearby enemies.

Used when the enemy is below 25% Health.

Ultimate

Raging Storm
Ember creates a thunderstorm that follows the target, striking all enemies within for 1594 Shock Damage every 1 second for 8 seconds.

The final strike deals 300% additional damage to enemies under 25% Health.

MISCHIEVOUS CASTER (TANK)

Entomb
Ember uses binding magic to immobilize enemies in front of them for 4 seconds and heal themselves for 11700 Health over 8 seconds.Cast Time:

Hurricane Visage
Ember manifests themselves as pure lightning, zapping nearby enemies with electricity dealing 4248 Shock Damage over 8 seconds.

While in this form their damage taken is reduced by 20%.

Ember dazzles an enemy in a ball of magic, stunning them for 3 seconds.Cast Time:

PLAYFUL SCHEMER (HEAL)

Quick Fix
Ember patches themselves or an ally with restorative magic, healing for 7800 Health.

Used when Ember or an ally is below 75% Health.

Shared Wards
Ember conjures wards made of energy for protection, granting a damage shield for them and their nearby allies that absorbs 3900 damage for 6 seconds.

Targets affected by the shield are also healed for 3897 Health over 8 seconds.

Second Wind
Ember uses their backup resources, reducing the cooldown of all their other abilities by 5 seconds.Cast Time:

Increases Critical Chance by 3% and damage done by 3%.

COMPANION RAPPORT

Gaining & Managing Rapport

Rapport with Companions begins at cordial, starting with the introductory quest, and may go up and down over time, depending on your actions with the active Companion. All Companions have strong personal preferences which you can learn about through dialogue and experimentation in the world.

As rapport increases or falls, various thresholds will be met, with corresponding changes in the Companion’s dialogue with you. At higher tiers of rapport, the Companion will be inclined to share personal information with you and ask for assistance with associated quests. At lower tiers of rapport, the Companion may choose to part ways with you for a time.

Rapport adjustments are displayed in real time in the loot stream and have limitations on how often they can be triggered for both positive and negative rapport events. You can always see the current rapport status on the overview window of the Companion UI.

Invoking the Clemency perk after being accosted by a guard: +10
Entering a restricted area (trespassing): +1
Fencing a purple-quality stolen item: +25
Completing a Tip Board quest in the Thieves Den: +5 (has a cooldown)
